Primary Teacher

The Role
As a Primary Teacher, you will provide engaging and inclusive learning experiences while maintaining high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour. Your responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering lessons in line with the Primary National Curriculum
- Teaching pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Creating engaging and age-appropriate learning activities
- Differentiating lessons to support pupils with varied abilities and needs
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
- Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and routines
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Working effectively with Teaching Assistants and other school staff
- Following existing planning when undertaking day-to-day or short-term cover
- Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Following safeguarding procedures and school policies
Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- At least 6 months’ UK classroom teaching experience
- Good knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
- Experience teaching within EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt and differentiate learning effectively
- Confidence supporting pupils with different abilities and additional needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Positive, professional and adaptable approach
- Ability to provide references covering your most recent 24 months
- Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to have one processed
Location and Package
- Based in Swadlincote and surrounding areas
- Daily rate: £140.00 – £253.00
- Flexible start from October 2026
